The dielectric constant is known to be the measurement of an object’s ability to have enough electrical energy, especially when it is placed in an electric field. Dielectric strength, on the other hand, is known to be the ability of a material to act as an insulator but it should not lose its insulating properties.

Take note that the different types of insulators will allow a small current to get through easily without the need to break down. You will know if the insulator is perfect if there will not be any leakage of electric current.

The higher the dielectric strength of the insulator that is being tested, the better the quality of the insulator is going to be.
