Lycra and spandex are the same things. The only difference between these two words is that Lycra is a trade brand, while spandex is the generic name for the material which was invented during world war ll in 1962.

Lycra is a brand name for Invista Company. Spandex is a synthetic fabric used to make stretchy cloths, while Lycra is another word for spandex created by DuPont. Examples of clothing made of spandex include clothes for sport, such as a bathing suit, wet suits, bicycle shorts, underwear, bras, leggings, stretchy pants, and others.

Spandex is made of strong, elastic, and flexible rubber. It is usually white in color, and color dyed are added to create variety. All spandex is not lycra, while all lycra is spandex.

If a person were to confuse lycra and spandex together, they would not be wrong, for lycra and spandex are the same things. Technically, there are no differences between them. They are both Spandex fiber. The only difference between them is the name and who creates them. Spandex is the generic, most common name for the fiber.

Lycra is a Spandex product. It is created by the company Dupont. Though they are made from different companies, there is no difference in the type of fabric they use. Both use a blend of cotton, spandex, and lycra. It is normally 90% cotton and then 10% of spandex or lycra.

A lot of people are wondering if spandex and lycra are the same because they usually see these names on the labels of their clothes. Spandex is known to be the term that is used to describe the cloth more. This is usually the more standard way of calling this type of stretchable cloth.

Lycra is known to be a brand of clothing that normally makes use of spandex in order to come up with clothes that can be worn by people. There are a lot of other companies who would gladly say that they make use of spandex as the main type of cloth that they are using, but other companies cannot say that they are making use of Lycra as this is a type of brand anyway.
