Genocide and Holocaust are bad events that take the lives of many people. The word genocide never existed before 1944.
Genocide means taking the life of a group of people from the same ethnic group, a nation or religion; the word genocide was coined by a Polish Jewish lawyer Raphael Lemkin (1900-1959), he joined the Greek word “Geno” which means race or tribe and “Cide” from Latin meaning killing holocaust is an example of such.
The Holocaust occurred between 1941 and 1945, it was a terrible moment where over six million Jews were killed, and this is one of the highest numbers of people ever killed due to their nationality or belief.
The modern Genocide now has some different meanings; it encompasses causing serious body or mental harm to a group of people, killing members of the group, forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.
