Web developers are very familiar with these acronyms. SVC and ASMX are technical concepts that provide the utmost importance to a developer line of work due to their dynamic nature.

ASMX can be defined as a web service called by an active server page, while SVC is a computer file extension utilized by the Microsoft windows communication foundation. SVC can also be called “steroids” because it can do everything, while ASMX can but with more features.

ASMX is easier to configure than SVC because it has so many configuration keys with diverse options. SVC can capture messages across the service, support binary data, and create codes that can run indefinite procedures while ASMX cannot do all these things. Lastly, ASMX is near extinction while SVC is the present and future of web development.

If you are not familiar with these acronyms, it is likely that you are not a web developer. If you are, these are terms that you probably use a lot. SVC is known to be a computer file extension that comes with a lot of features. This definitely has a lot more features as compared to the .asmx.

This is the reason why some people say that SVC is a better option, although it would still depend on people who are actually using it. What makes people like ASMX is it is not very complicated.

You may immediately know how to use it even when you are a beginner. SVC is normally used beyond HTTP, which means that it can be a good option when you are working with MSMQ and so much more.
