Prime Minister Narendra Nodi is the person who put India on lockdown. The state of lockdown began on March 22 when Nodi ordered a curfew that was for 14 hours. During this curfew, the people of India needed to stay indoors from 7:00 to 21:00 on this day. From there, the official lockdown of the nation started on March 25.

Both the curfew and lockdown were put in place to prevent COVID-19 from becoming widespread in the region. The numbers show that the measures Nodi has implemented have worked because the number of positive cases has gone down. This has allowed Nodi to relax some of the measures he put in place.

Business is what makes a difference in this world, may that be for good or bad and that's what I love about that.

The decision that necessitated the first 21-day lockdown in India was reached by the Indian government, but the declaration was made by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rather than talking about who put India on a 21-day lockdown, I think it will be best to know what led to this. The world is currently in a fight against the novel coronavirus.

And the unfortunate thing is that the virus is spreading real fast among people. However, in a bid to effectively reduce the spread of this virus, countries have been advised to put different measures in place so that people will not be contracting the disease. Although people have been practicing social distancing, however, this might not be effective if people are allowed to go on with their normal activities.

As a result of this, the Indian government reached the decision to put the country on lockdown so that the cycle of transmission of the disease can be broken.
