If lockdowns are extended for a long period of time due to the coronavirus, the economy will be greatly impacted. Each week that a state or country is on lockdown, they are losing millions of dollars, which is having a trickle down effect from the businesses to the citizens.
Unemployment rates will sky rocket to unbeknownst because when a lockdown in places, nonessential personnel are not able to work. Along with that, experts predict that another recession will be on the horizon. If that is the case, it is also likely that housing markets will crash, as well as the stock market crashing.
