ADHD is the short form of Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder. This is a developmental disorder or a neurobehavioral disorder, usually experienced by children. Asperger syndrome or Asperger’s disorder on the other hand, is an autism-related developmental disorder. Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder or ADHD is characterized by a continuous pattern of inattention and impulsiveness, usually with a component of hyperactivity.
An individual suffering from this condition will have difficulty in putting their attention on something for a while. For instance, children suffering from this condition can't focus on their studies; they may also have a hard time playing with things. In contrast, asperger's syndrome is characterized by a sustained impairment in nonverbal communication and social interaction which leads to repetitive behaviors.
A child suffering from this condition can play with anything for hours. Children with asperger's can't sustain good social interaction with their peers. While causes of asperger's syndrome have been attributed to genetic causes, ADHD does not have a particular cause.
