The most noticeable difference between products and services is that products are tangible, as you can hold them, pick them up, and put them down. A product can be returned to the seller for replacement or refund in case it becomes damaged. A product is often created from the product by the user. The user is the only one who knows the criteria the product must meet for him or her to purchase it.
With a service, it is the customer care that attracts the buyers of that specific service, while in a product, there are other variables to consider, such as branding. A service is technically work accomplished by another person for the individual or customer. A few examples of service include receiving legal advice from a practicing lawyer, someone who serves you in a restaurant, an auto mechanic who fixes your car, or the hairdresser who cuts your hair.
