Christianity is currently the largest religion in the whole world. The religion is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Christians believe Jesus Christ came to the world to free man from sins by reconnecting us back to our creator i.e., God. On the other hand, Buddhism is centered on the philosophies and teachings of Siddhartha Gautama. Lord Buddha or Siddhartha Gautama is usually regarded as an enlightened being.
Followers of this religion believe they can as well attain this state of pureness and awakening by adhering strictly with certain instructions of the religion in order to achieve salvation. In Buddhism, there are two major sects, Mahayana and Hinayana. Also, in Christianity, there are different denominations, but the major ones are the Protestants, Orthodox, and Catholic.
