VGA and SVGA are both cables. VGA stands for video graphics array. They support videos that have a smaller resolution. SVGA stands for a super video graphics array. They can support videos with a much higher video resolution. Another difference between them is the amount of memory they require. VGA requires 256k, while SVGA can require memory between 512k and 1024K. IBM was the developer of the first VGA. SVGA is just an extension of VGA. With this extension comes a higher resolution and support for more colors. To support this extension and upgrades, the user must have a much higher memory.

SVGA stands for super video graphics array, while VGA stands for Video Graphics Array. SVGA is an all-encompassing term that is generated.by an assortment of computer exhibited standards. Before, SVGM was an extension of VGA.

However, it was defined by the Video Electronics Standards Association, which was created to promote interoperability and define standards. VGA is an outdated computer display hardware. SVGA in each pixel could be any of a variety of colors.

There are also no limitations on the number of colors that are being exhibited regarding the monitor itself. The yield of both the SVGA and VGA card is analog. The internal calculations which the card performs are all digital.
