Frame and chassis are two parts of a vehicle. They help the vehicle from moving or staying still. It is difficult to tell them apart because the frame is apart of the chassis. However, they have different functions. As an organism has a skeleton, the frame acts like that for the car. It is the support system for the vehicle and the parts of the car. The frame provides support for itself, the people who are riding in the car, and the overall weight of the car. The chassis holds the part of the car that the frame does not hold, including the brakes and the wheels.
A chassis is known to be the skeletal framework of any mode of transportation. For example, a car’s chassis would mean that it will be like the skeleton of the car. Without the chassis, it would be hard to build the vehicle. A lot of the mechanical parts of the car will be connected with the use of the chassis.
A vehicle frame is known to be where the chassis is placed. All of the various components that will be placed in the chassis plus the chassis itself would need to be placed on the frame otherwise, the chassis may not be strong enough to hold and to handle all of the items that would be placed on it.
