It can be confusing when you learn that there are differences between bone china and fine china. These are obviously two types of china. Bone china is a mixture of cow bone ash and ceramic. This means that there will be a difference with its color especially when you would compare it to fine china.
Fine china obviously does not have any cow bone ash. Another difference that you will notice is that bone china is a little bit translucent especially when you would compare it to fine china. One way that you can see what type of china you have is placing it underneath a light source.
