Dielectric constant and polarity are used to describe certain properties of different materials. Dielectric constant refers to the property of an object that allows it to save electrical potential energy under the influence of an electric field. On the other hand, polarity refers to the property of an object that allows it to separate, align into two opposed poles.

The dielectric constant is the measure of the property of an electric field to influence or change the dielectric medium or environment of an object. In contrast, the polarity of an object can be determined by the influence of the properties of an object in opposite directions.

Dielectric materials are usually regarded as insulators, i.e., they are poor conductors of electricity, whereas the polarity of some materials creates an electric current. The dielectric constant is usually calculated by determining the ratio of the electric induction to the intensity of the electric field. The negative and positive poles are two determinants of polarity.
