One of the few similarities of goods and services is that both are given or offered in exchange for money, most especially from buyers. Aside this, there are a lot of differences between goods and services. Goods are items of merchandise. They are tangible items that are sold to buyers in exchange for money.
They are tangible products because they can be tasted, seen, touched. On the other hand, services are not tangible products like goods. Another difference is that goods, when produced, are uniform in quality. In contrast, services are usually provided based on some factors.
As a result, the quality of services cannot be the same all the time. While some goods are perishable, most of them are not perishable. In contrast, services are provided when needed due to the fact that they can't be used repeatedly. At times, goods and services are inseparable. For instance, while a car is a good, the various operations done on it to make more functional are all services.
