No, New York is not on lockdown as of now. After more than three months of lockdown, New York schedules its biggest phase of opening on Monday. Even some office workers and officials resumed their work on Monday.
It was originally thought that their restrictions would begin to be lifted sometime in May, but Governor Cuomo proclaimed that the earliest restrictions in the state would be lifted in June. While many other states across the country had been getting rid of their lockdown and allowing life to slowly go back to normal, New York remained one of the places still under the strictest guidelines in the entire May. The reason for this was that the state of New York had remained a hot spot for the thriving virus. If the state went back to normal earlier, they could be hit even hard in the fall by the virus.

The correct answer to this question is Yes. New York is on lockdown because the virus COVID-19 is still heavily impacting their state. Out of all the states in the country, New York has remained the persistent hotspot of the virus. The reason for this is that New York is heavily populated, and the state is always busy with people.

Along with that, it is almost impossible to remain socially distant from one another in the state because it flows around being close together. Whether on public transportation or in living quarters, the people in the state are constantly close, allowing the virus to breed.

A lot of people are wondering whether they can still travel to New York, especially since New York is known to be the area wherein there are a lot of cases of the Coronavirus. There are some people who will not be allowed to travel to New York anymore.

Those who will go to New York and will be allowed to go are required to self isolate for two weeks or 14 days to ensure that if they have the virus, they will not spread it to other people who may not have it. Recently, it was announced that the streets of New York should not be laden with cars, and this has made it even harder for different people to travel and commute.

Yes, New York is currently on lockdown right now, although there are some people who are wishing that the lockdown will be over. A lot of people are saying that this has put a stop to so many things that happened in New York.

Some people are saying that the city will be open to the public again by May 15, but according to Cuomo, there is a possibility that some parts of New York will still not be open to the public by May 15 because of the number of cases that were noted on those particular areas. New York is known to have the highest number of infections, and this may still rise up in the coming days.

Yes. The people of New York are suffering because of this pandemic. It is because New York is so densely populated that there have been the most cases in New York. The city thrives because of the people in the city, and it is quite disheartening to see that there is no one on the usually crowded sidewalks, and all of the businesses are closed.

Office workers who utilize Skype or Microsoft teams to accomplish their work are finding themselves unproductive, lonely, and anxious. Every industry in New York is hurting because of the absence of human beings. There are too many citizens in New York, and they would be risking an emergence of coronavirus if it were too soon.
