The correct answer to this question is Yes. When it comes to the lockdown, China had some of the strictest measures, compared to other countries. The purpose of the lockdown was to prevent the spread of the virus. It is estimated that over one billion people in China were on lockdown.

One of the measures put into place was a travel ban, preventing those from entering the country and preventing their citizens from leaving the country. Along with that, schools were closed, and businesses were forced to close their doors and allow their employees to work from a home office.

Only some parts of China were placed under total lockdown. For example, Wuhan was placed under total lockdown probably because this was the place where the virus supposedly originated. This was considered to be very strict and brutal at that time. Yet, China was able to prove that what they did actually worked in order to control the virus.

The time came when the last patient who had the virus in Wuhan recovered and was able to go home. It was a great moment for all of the medical staff. Some were skeptical about the effectiveness of this lockdown but it was proven to be effective at that time.

When China decided to lockdown Wuhan, a lot of people were skeptical about it. Some people thought that it was completely unnecessary, but it seems that what China did is actually effective for trying to contain the virus. Take note that before China, quarantine was not something that the world tried.

They know that there are so many things that will be affected by it. One of the things that will get affected is the economy. China knew this, and they still pushed through with it probably because this is the only solution that the saw. This solution was then followed by different countries from other parts of the world who are also afflicted with the virus.

China has put more than one half billion people on lockdown. There have been strict quarantine measures put into place to protect themselves and others from being further attacked by the coronavirus. China’s citizens are financially rewarded for reporting people that are not adhering to the guidelines of the lockdown.

The most extreme example of strictness is Hubei province, which is the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak. Government officials have gradually put more and more restrictions on their people to keep them inside their homes.

Each household may only send one person out once every three days to purchase groceries, and temperatures are taken promptly upon arriving back home. They also require purchases of cold medicine to disclose their temperature, address, and identification number at the pharmacy.
