Though there is no official cure for COVID-19, many doctors are looking at Hydroxychloroquine as a way to treat the virus. However, it is not yet recommended to do so by hospitals or other patient facilities, for researchers are in the early stages of seeing how this medication will cure the virus.

Some studies see it improving the symptoms of the virus, while others do not. One reason why there is not yet a definite answer is because there is a shortage of the medication, not allowing scientists to fully do a trial and error. Currently, the medication is being used for malaria and lupus.

The world is still trying to find a cure for Coronavirus, and people who are afflicted with this condition or their family members are willing to try everything. This is a type of medication that has been approved by the FDA, but you need to remember that this is not being used to treat Coronavirus presently.

Rather, this is a type of medication that is being used to treat different types of autoimmune diseases. This is the medication that people take when they have been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. Some people also take it in order to get manage Lupus. There are not enough reports that are stating that this is an actual wonder drug that can cure this condition.

There are a lot of people who are trying to get their hands on a medication called hydroxychloroquine. They have heard that this is one of the medications that might be effective against COVID 19 simply because of some tests that were done.

These short tests are very simple, and there is no guarantee that the tests are accurate. Yet, people still want to acquire this medication simply because they feel that this can be good for making people heal. This can be dangerous to use, though for people who may have other underlying diseases, especially those who have cardiovascular diseases. This drug is still being tested right now for the possible conditions that it may be used for.

Hydroxychloroquine is a medication used to treat malaria and autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. There is not enough medical information or any substantial proof that this drug can cure COVID-19. Certain smaller studies suggest that medicine has potential; other studies did not see a difference.

Now, there is a shortage of this medication, and the people who use the drug for its intended purposes cannot obtain the appropriate treatment. Initially, the drug was given to treat malaria, which is an infection caused by a parasite. Recent in-vitro studies have demonstrated that medicine has antiviral properties against SARS-COV-2, and this is the virus that causes COVID-19.

It is through this research that the medical community discovered that this medication blocks the virus from entering and multiplying inside the cells by interfering with the chemical structure of human cell membranes.
