The correct answer to this question is no. Hydroxychloroquine is not safe for heart patients. This is because the side effects of the medication can affect the heart. These symptoms include abnormal heart beats and increasing the heart rate. Though rare, these symptoms in patients with heart problems already can result to fatality.

Even if a person does not already have a heart issue, taking the medication can cause one due to the side effects. Though the medication is great for treating malaria and lupus, the patient should monitor how it affects their heart and report any issues immediately to their doctor.

The main reason why hydroxychloroquine was created was in order to treat those who have malaria. People thought that it would be effective against the different strains of malaria, but it turns out later on that it is not. It cannot be used for any strain because it will not take effect. This comes with some side effects that will not be very good for people who have heart conditions.

If you have a heart condition, you should not take this because it can cause your heartbeat to become irregular. This can be fatal, especially for people who have weak hearts. Those who would need to take this medication would need a prescription from their doctor.

This is not recommended for heart patients mainly because there is one possible side effect of this medication that can make it harder for heart patients to recover. There are times when this can be cardiotoxic, which also means that it can also cause the heart to suddenly fail.

It is important that people who are being treated for malaria, because this is one of the conditions that this is used for, will be honest about the things that they will share to the doctor so that no harm will befall them. There are also some people who notice that their heart rate may decrease because of the use of this condition.

The short answer is no, and although it is uncommon, some cases have been fatal. It can affect those who have heart disease and heart rhythm disorder. It may cause a headache, chest pain, and severe dizziness. It may also cause fainting, fast or pounding heartbeats, prolonged heart rate, weak pulse, low blood sugar, and feeling anxious or shaky.

Organ damage is another occurrence that can be caused by the drug. You should also not use it if you are allergic. It is also not safe for long-term use in children. Overall, there are more reasons not to use the drug than use it.

Hydroxychloroquine is not really safe for heart patients. As a matter of fact, hydroxychloroquine itself can cause serious heart problems, together with causing liver issues. And this is one of the major reasons why you should be careful with the kind of drugs that you take. Hydroxychloroquine, when taken alone, may not have any effect on you, but taking some certain drugs alongside with it can cause some issues to your health.

In addition, you need to understand the state of your health, or if you have had any side effect taking this drug before, so as to take precautions and some preventive measures. The use of hydroxychloroquine for children, especially when used on long-term treatment, can lead to heart disorder. Some potential side effects of the use of hydroxychloroquine are cardiotoxicity, as well as cardiomyopathy, which can result in congestive heart failure. Therefore, be very careful about using hydroxychloroquine for heart patients, or you should totally prevent it.
