There are different factors that contribute to the sustainability of a habitat. However, the most important of them all are biodiversity, abiotic resources and conditions, and biomass. For a sustainable habitat, these three factors must be well preserved. Biodiversity simply refers to the number or variety of species of animal and plant life within a region.
What is causing habitat loss is simply the activities of humans. By habitat destruction, we are gradually making a region unsafe for every living organism living in it. With this, we are causing biodiversity to reduce, which is not good for the continuous existence of a habitat.
To have a sustainable habitat, there must be different species living in that habitat. Abiotic conditions are very important factors for the sustainability of a habitat. While other factors are equally important, biodiversity must be preserved in order for a habitat to keep existing.
