Paint is a liquid substance that consists of a mixture of powdered pigment and a liquid binder. The liquid binder enables the substance to be glued to a surface, while the powdered pigment gives the paint its color. Paint can be used for both practical and artistic purposes, applied on surfaces for aesthetics, or as a coating.
Paints are of different classifications and types, which vary from water-based, oil-based, and other substances. The different types of paint include acrylic, tempera, enamel, watercolor, poster, and many more. On the other hand, enamel happens to be a kind of paint that can be latex-based, oil-based, or water-based.
There are three kinds in which the enamel is further classified into, which are floor enamel, high-temperature enamel, and fast-drying enamel. Enamel is a kind of paint that is durable and resistant to paint. This paint is usually used on outdoor structures or surfaces. Some enamel paints also compose of metal flakes or glass powder for its gloss.
