COPD is known as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Those who have this condition would usually have a dry cough that would normally discharge sputum. Sputum is also mucus that may be mixed in with other particles. CHF is known to be a Chronic Heart Failure. Some people may think that they are only experiencing COPD when, in fact, they are already experiencing CHF.

It is important for people to know the difference so that they will know how to act. Those who have COPD may notice that they need to spit out the sputum often, and they may have a bit of tightness in the chest area. CHF will not make you feel that your chest is tight, but you may feel that your heart is beating irregularly.
