What did both the Palmer Raids and the Sacco and Vanzetti case demonstrate?

The Palmer Raids and the Sacco and Vanzetti cases were both extreme examples of how the Red Scare was provoking injustice around the country. The Palmer Raids, in particular, were meant to provoke injustice since they were used to arrest those who were suspected of being leftists and supportive of anarchy. During the time after World War I, there was a lot of unrest.

The world had just seen a massive number of deaths, and some were beginning to believe that the current kinds of governments in place weren’t doing their jobs properly. In America, specifically, there was a communist sympathy that the government wanted to quash. Sacco and Vanzetti on the other hand were convicted of robbery and first degree murder. They were advocates of relentlessly waging war against oppressive governments.
