Mormons are one of the religious groups that exist in Christianity. Although members of this group see themselves as Christians, other Christian groups like Catholics and Protestants, don't see them as Christians. On the other hand, Christian is the general name that covers every believer of Jesus Christ.
Mormons were founded in the 1820s by Joseph Smith. Another name for their church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. One of the major differences between Mormons and other Christian groups is that; while Mormons consider the Holy Bible and the book of Mormon ad their main scriptures, Christians generally use the Holy Bible as their main scripture.
Although both beliefs in the same God, Mormons believe God also has a physical body, whereas Christians believe God does not exist physically but rather a tripartite being. Mormons believe there is salvation for all mankind on the last day, while Christians believe severe judgment is waiting for the sinners on the last day.
