There are a lot of people who may get confused with ISIS and ISIL. When you say ISIS, you mean Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. When you say ISIL, you are referring to the Islamic State of Iraq and Levant.
There was a time when people would only refer to Isis until they have changed it to Isil. They say that the change has occurred mainly because there may be some interferences that have occurred.
Some are saying that the names do not correspond with their Islamic faith. Take note that the term “Levant” is a translation to the word, “Al-Sham” which would refer to the group that has created Isis.

ISIC and ISIS are both terrorist groups. These two terms are used to refer to the same terrorist groups. ISIS exists because of the climate that was created in the middle east by Al-Queda, which is another terrorist group that has its roots in Iraq.
While this particular group generally operated in Iraq, ISIS has been able to expand operations in nearby nations because of the war in Syria. The new name for al-Baghdadi’s terrorist group can be translated as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
ISIS, as a group, set out to instill fear within the hearts and minds of the whole world by filming the beheadings of countless foreign journalists. These terrorist groups are brutal and aggressive in the way they handle their interaction with populations of innocent and unsuspecting people.
