Molasses is a heavy brownish syrup which is produced in the processing of raw sugar, while the syrup is any liquid that is added to or poured over delicious breakfast foods, such as pancakes and waffles. It, by far, has the highest sugar content of any viscous liquid.
Simple syrup is produced by hot water and sugar, while the flavored syrup is made by combining flavors into a simple syrup and is used to make flavored drinks. Molasses, on the other hand, is a sticky and thick by-product of sugar cane or sugar beet processing.
Molasses can be created from sugar cane, dates, pomegranates, mulberries, and carob. It is made by removing the juice of sugar cane through crushing or mashing. The juice is promptly boiled to produce a concentrate and to crystallize the sugar.
