Walking and running are two different activities that can be carried out by every healthy being. The same parts of the body are actually engaged in the two activities. They are also both considered as a means of exercise. The differences between the two seem to be known by everyone, but the task of putting them into writing is another thing. One major difference you need to understand between these two factors is that the pace of running is generally faster than that of walking. That means you will cover more distance by running than walking at the same given time.

Walking and running are two different activities that can be carried out by every healthy being.
However, more energy is required or engaged in running than it is in walking. Running seems more effective in exercises as it burns more calories than walking. Due to these factors, walking is generally considered to be less inferior to walking. Actually, you are more prone to injury when running than when walking.

The main difference between running and walking is the speed when you move from one place to another. Walking is considered to be something that you will do when you want to feel more relaxed. You normally walk when you want to get from one place to another, wherein the difference is not very far. When you walk, calories get burned, but more calories are usually burned when you run.

When people are running, they normally use a burst of energy in order to get from one place to another. Running is not relaxed at all. There are a lot of people who are unable to run because it takes up too much effort for them as compared to walking.
