Most of the problems usually encountered about the various differences between Nepal and Tibet usually arise when you consider their proximity and the fact that both have the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest, in their border.

Aside from these little similarities, there are many differences between the two, most especially when you know that one is a sovereign state, and the other is usually considered to be a part of another country. Nepal is a sovereign state in South Asia and has Kathmandu as its capital. Nepal is close to the Himalayas and India. The fact that both Nepal and Tibet share borders make Nepal so close to China since Tibet is usually considered to be a part of China. On the other hand, Tibet is an autonomous region in China, and it can also be considered as one of the provinces in China. Tibet is under the Chinese government, and it also has a central government which is headed by the Dalai Lama.
