Packing and packaging are different words with different meaning that leads to confusion. Packing is a term that is used as a protective covering for products while the packaging is a term used in the presentation of a product by manufacturer to make it attractive so that they maximize every potential of their products being known.

Packing is aimed at making products transported to be safe until they get to their destination, while packaging a product is making it appealing to consumers. Packing has not special information except the reference number of the carton while on packaging their various information, images, colors, the logo of the company displayed on the product. Packing is mostly used in the medicine, agriculture, chemistry field, while the packaging is mostly used by the marketing or advertising industry.

There are a lot of people who may become confused with packing and packaging. When you say packing, you are referring to the process of making sure that everything is properly packed. Packing is also known as a type of augmented activity that may be able to add value to the product that will be placed inside the packaging.

With that said, packaging means that this is where you would be placing the items that you need. Another possible definition for a package is that you are referring to the whole thing which means that aside from the item, you are also including the box where the item has been placed.

Packaging and packing are different; however, they go hand in hand. They are an important part of retail and shipping. The packaging is done by most companies; packaging can sometimes be mistaken for branding because the packaging is a unique way a company or a brand present its goods to the public.

Packaging can also be used to brace goods and protect a shipment. Packing is used to pack items for delivery or a process of packing certain goods. Packing is putting items together for protection, while the packaging is used for the protection of goods for display.

Packing can also be defined as a means of gathering items for traveling or changing an environment, while the packaging is used for packing goods and marketing and labeling at the same time.

Packing and packaging are two concepts that businesses use. Packing is taking items and putting them together to prepare for transit. It is not to display the products. Packaging protects the products in preparation for transit, as well as the display of products.

Packing is put in protective wrapping, such as bubble wrap or kraft wrapping paper to protect the product. Packaging also uses protective wrapping, but that wrapping will include the companies logo for the purpose of displaying the brand.

Packing is also a term that can be used to kick someone out, for example "She sent Kevin Packing".

Packaging refers to the products that are kept inside a carton, any box separately, or in sets using wrapping material to keep items safe and unbroken during travel. Packed material can endure rough handling as well as inclement weather. If there are mistakes in packing, the packaged products and inside a master carton may rub against each other and harm the products.

At the same time, they are being loaded and delivered numerous times during the shipping process. The packaging is how objects are made up into a center that is to be treated like cargo during shipping.

When you purchase a product wrapped in packing from a store, it is called packing. When an item is sent from a manufacturer, the packaging helps the object to arrive safely. Packing is a verb, while the packaging is a noun. You can say, “I am packing to move,” and you can say, “I received the packaging in the mail.”

When you say packaging, you are focusing on the process that needs to be done so that items and goods will be properly wrapped and ready for shipping. The packages will then be shipped to the desired area after some time. When you say packing, this is a type of activity that people will do wherein they can place different items inside another object.

You can also refer to the overall container wherein the items are placed as packaging. For example, you may comment if the packaging is good or not. You can use the term “packing” when you are trying to fix the items that you are going to bring with you on a trip. You are packing all of the items that you need in order to be comfortable.

Packing and packaging might sound very similar, but they are not the same. Packing refers to the process involved when an individual or machinery use certain materials to pack goods or items. With this definition, you can also think of it as an act of arranging your clothes and putting them into a suitcase. Packing also refers to any material used to wrap an item for sale.

A perfect example is any material you can use to fill the space around anything, in order to make a piston. In science, packing refers to the spatial arrangement of items or objects. You can also use packing to refer to an act of packaging an item to be delivered or stored.

On the other hand, packaging also has a similar meaning. However, one of the major differences between the two processes is that packaging usually comes before packing. Also, people prefer to use the word packaging when presenting an item in a more appealing way, probably to customers or other people.
