For a standard and small-sized car, a hatchback or sedan is preferable. There has been a lot of argument about the two of them, but the main difference is the space in the truck.

A hatchback has a space behind the rear passage seat that is accessible through the rear window or door. A hatchback is shorter than a sedan. A hatchback design is the flexibility provided you can fold the rear seat. The style for the hatchback is normally sporty, and also it comes in a different assortment of colors.

A sedan has a separate truck space; it is longer than a hatchback. To simply define a sedan, it has four doors, a truck for storing items, and it is also pretty fast. Sedan styles are more, so you get to make different choices. A sedan can offer 30 miles per gallon or even more.

One of the main things that you will notice about the hatchback and the sedan is their appearance. You will notice that the sedan will usually have four doors, while there are some hatchbacks that will only have two doors. The rear window of the hatchback is also more upright as compared to the sedan.

The aerodynamics of hatchbacks is normally better as compared to the aerodynamics of sedans which explains why there are some people who would use some models of hatchback cars for drag racing. When it comes to visibility, hatchback cars are also better, but most sedans will definitely have more space for your different items.

One of the major differences between a sedan and a hatchback is the presence of a trunk or boot in sedan and the absence of a trunk in the hatchback. Although a hatchback has a little space behind the rear side of the passenger seat, it cannot be called a trunk per se. In contrast, the trunk in a sedan is separated from the passenger seat. Due to the absence of a trunk in a hatchback, it is shorter compared to a sedan.

Another difference is that the rear wheel of the hatchback is closer to the rear of the car than in the sedan. Although the hatchback does not have a big storage space, the little space behind the rear side of the passenger seat can still be used to keep a few materials. In contrast, the sedan has a trunk, which means it has more storage space compared to the hatchback.
