These two terms “intelligence” and “counterintelligence”, are usually used among the commercial, state, and military organizations. Intelligence can be seen as the foundation or the basic center in the development of certain recommended courses of action. There are some trained individuals that work in this intelligence unit, functioning by gathering useful or relevant information.

They evaluate the information that might be vital in their decision-making process. They analyze information gathered, and also compare it with the previous information that might have had in hand. On the other side of the coin, the function of the counterintelligence team seems very similar to that of the intelligence team, but what makes the difference is that the counterintelligence team basically gather information “against” the enemy. The activities of the counterintelligence team are known to be more complex than the intelligence team. They even work as spies in the enemy’s territory, and this is more of a risk.

Intelligence is the knowledge that one has. Anyone can have intelligence on a subject. In relation to counterintelligence, intelligence is the collection of certain information. This information is analyzed with the hope to help those in conflict prepare for and win their battles.

Counterintelligence is an agency, and they have a much stronger role because their purpose is to prevent intelligence agents from overseas from spying on the United States. This group also works as spy themselves, for they take members of their group to spy on other countries. They also prevent attacks from happening to the United States and other ally countries.

There are a lot of people who think that intelligence and wisdom are the same. When you say that someone is intelligent, this means that the person is able to apply the knowledge that he has learned in real life. It has allowed the person to do things that way that they are expected to do so. Intelligence will allow people to do things that other people would not be able to do.

Wisdom, on the other hand, is known to be something that people are born with. Yet, some people gain it from experience. The more experience that people have, the more wisdom that they would gain from it.

Although, intelligence and wisdom are most times considered to be the same, however, there are certain differences between the two. Intelligence refers to the capacity of one's mind to understand truths, meanings, principles, facts, acquire knowledge, and the ability to apply them in practical terms. In other words, intelligence is the measure of one's ability to learn, comprehend, and the ability to apply them to practice.

Most intelligent people have the ability to effortlessly learn new skills, solve logical problems, and understand difficult tasks. On the other hand, wisdom is not always easy to measure since it entails a lot of things before an individual can be considered wise.

Wisdom entails acquiring knowledge through past experiences and the ability to use the truth behind them to address certain situations. In other words, wisdom is the ability to apply relevant knowledge to address certain situations in an insightful way.
