Stem and trunk are both parts of the organism called plants.

Stems are usually one of the structural axes in plant composition, it plays a lot of roles like to provide support for the fruits, bud, or leaves. It also helps in the transportation of minerals by providing a pathway.

The stem is very important for asexual reproduction. It also brings the leaves to light during photosynthesis. The stem plays a vital role in each plant because they are an indispensable part of the plants. After all, it contains xylem, phloem, and cambium.

The trunk is the part of a plant but mostly confined to trees. It carries the whole tree canopy. A trunk is directly attached to the tree roots. The truck is also characterized as the main tree stems.

Stem and trunk are two structural parts of plants. One of the major differences between the two is that trunks are mostly found in trees, although they are very similar to stem in terms of function. In other words, stems are a major part of all plants just that the trunk is representing a type of stem in trees. The stem is the stalk of a vascular plant and has xylem, phloem, and the cambium as its main parts.

These three parts are a major pathway for substances like water, minerals, to other parts of a plant. Just like I said, the trunk is an important of a plant between the roots and branches of a tree. Just like how stems are serving as pathways for minerals and water to other parts of a tree, the trunk of a tree is performing a similar function. However, it is important to know that both stem and trunk give support to other parts of the plant.
