There is a big difference between a cellphone and a smart phone, cellphones have been available for years it only function as to provide people with the means of calling and to be called ,cellphone does not allow social media like Facebook, Instagram, twitter WhatsApp etc. a cellphone comes with a small screen and a number pad.

Smart phones can be seen today to have common feature with computer like in their keyboard which is either compact or standard has made it easier when typing mails and message.

Smartphones usually use an operating system that can be identify and also used by other. A smart phone also has a personal digital assistant and a cellphone. Lastly smartphones are usually touch screen.

There is a big difference between cellphones and smartphones. However, the increasing rate at which technology is moving in relation to how some cellphones are made has caused most people to be confused as to what exactly are the differences between the two gadgets. Cellphones were originally meant to be used by people so that they can talk to other people at any time.

However, we now have cellphones that are made with certain features like voice recording, instant messaging, internet access, etc. These features have increased the capabilities of cellphones; however, their main function is to be used for calls. On the other hand, smartphones are equipped with more advanced such as touch screen display, video chat, GPS, etc.

which allow them to be used just like computers. Smartphones are run by different operating systems depending on the maker. In terms of size, smartphones are bigger than cellphones. Invariably, smartphones combine the functions of a PDA and a cellphone.
