In primary research, the researcher usually obtains a plethora of different resources. For example, interviewing someone is primary information, and it would lead to conducting primary research because this is the way you extract the analysis from the source itself. Other research methods can be used for data collection, with a few critical examples, including case studies, surveys, observation, and experiments.

It takes a lot of hard work to conduct this type of research. On the other hand, secondary research depends upon indirect sources. It entails summary, collation, and synthesis of existing research.

Secondary research is less expensive to conduct, and it does not take the back-breaking perseverance that primary research does. The information concerning secondary research is generally not very detailed or involved. Secondary research is typically presented with more varied data than primary resources.
