Wizards and mages are a widespread phenomenon, and they both have their niche. Wizards are often fictional characters in fantasy stories like the Harry Potter movies and the book, “The Hobbit” by J. R.R Tolkien. Wizards use traditional magic for either good or evil. Wizards often depend on spells to cast over people they want to either help or hurt.

He could be using a staff or some other instrument to perform his magic. A mage, on the other hand, is considered wise. He has impressive intellect and knowledge of magic. Mages don’t usually use staff or other instruments, though they have been known to cast a spell or two.

Mages generally practice certain rituals to either heal those in need. These particular mages are considered to be factual while there are fictional mages who perform magic like wizards.
