How did coronavirus spread so hard in Italy?

The total number of confirmed cases of those who have contracted the coronavirus is around 63,928, while about deaths have been recorded so far.

One of the reasons for this fatality rate is because Italy focused its medical services only on people showing severe symptoms while thousands of people have been infected already. Another reason is that Italy has the second-oldest population in the world after Japan.

A good percentage of the total deaths recorded so far were older people who already had various cases of preexisting health problems. Another reason is that Italy is practicing a free health system with little resources to battle a disease outbreak of this type.
