In Wuhan, there is a market there that sells different types of exotic animals. The bat is just one of the exotic animals that can be eaten there. It just so happens that the bat that was eaten by this person is infected.

This has caused the virus to spread from the bat to the person—the person who has become infected probably infected other people along the way. Even travelers have gotten infected, which explains why the virus can now be found in so manyother countries.

A man supposedly eats an infected bat, and it then infects this human. This human then spreads the virus to other people who also spread it to other people until such time when it started spreading to various parts of the world. There are different conspiracy theories that are being made about this, though. There are some people who are saying that perhaps, this did not really originate from a man who ate a bat. It may have come from a scientific institution that may have wanted to wipe out a lot of people from various parts of the world.
