It can be confusing to know the difference between paralegal and lawyer. Basically, when you say paralegal, this means that you are someone who may have a job that is related to the law, but this does not mean that you can be a lawyer. You can just take any job that is related to the law.

When you say that you are a lawyer, this means that you are a person who is meant to practice the law. The lawyer can provide instructions to the paralegal, especially if there are some things that are needed for the task at hand. Take note that a paralegal can be different from a legal assistant.
