Shrubs have several stems and can grow up to five to six meters high. The places where shrubs are grown are known to be called shrubbery. Shrubs can be grown in either gardens or parks. These plants have many leaves on their little branches, and these branches are close to each other. They can be deciduous or evergreen.

Some examples of shrubs are common juniper and mountain pine. They are usually referred to as sub-shrubs when the shrubs are little. Some examples of sub-shrubs are lavender, thyme, and periwinkle. Considering herbs, they are also plants with a particular purpose. They are mostly used for medicinal purposes.

They have a very pleasant and amazing smell. Some also make use of herbs for a spiritual purpose. The fragrance of the plant makes it effective for its purposes, and all its parts from the root to the leaves are useful. Examples of herbs include rosemary, Christianity myrrh, frankincense, bay laurel, and basil.

Herbs are known to be plants that do not come with wood tissue. There are some that may have wood tissue, but they will not be as much as the other plants that you will see, such as shrubs. Shrubs may have some similarities to trees, but they are usually shorter, and they will also come with thinner branches that can easily be removed since they are not as hard as the branches that you can find on trees.

One thing that can separate herbs from shrubs is the way that they smell. Herbs are usually aromatic, and they will work with various scents that will allow you to know exactly what herbs you are looking at.
