It is known that braces are very effective in improving the current condition of the teeth. Two of the choices are ceramic and metal braces. Ceramic is known to be not as strong as steel. It will have the tendency to sometimes chip or sometimes even crack. Most of the time, ceramic braces are placed on the upper teeth because this will be enough to hold the teeth in place and set them in place.

The braces that are placed on the lower teeth are usually made out of metal because there is more pressure that is applied on the lower teeth as compared to the upper teeth. Metal braces can be more effective in withstanding pressure.
