A lot of people assume that nuts and peanuts are the same. Some even think that nuts are the short term that can be used for peanuts, but actually, they have some differences. Nuts usually grow on trees, which means that they can grow above ground. This is highly different from peanuts that usually grow below ground.

Peanuts are actually legumes, while nuts are considered as tree nuts. Take note that a nut is usually considered to be the plant of a tree. The peanut pods will usually have different seeds that can be found in one single pod. This explains why there are sometimes more than three “peanuts” that can be taken from a single legume that can be boiled or fried.
