Zelle cannot be used for international payments. The Zelle electronic payment service network only functions in one country, which is the United States. Zelle cannot work in any other part of the world. This is simply due to the fact that the banks that are supported by the Zelle platform are only the United States banks.
Therefore, since these banks are not located in any other part of the world except for the United States, the platform will not function in other countries. This is unlike some other payment transaction platforms such as Payoneer and PayPal, which works across several countries and continents.
Another factor to notice is that Zelle transfer has to do with a phone number, and of which, since the registration of the platform is simply made with the United States phone number; you will notice be able to make transactions on the platform outside the US. The US phone network only works in the United States.
