The correct answer to this question is Yes. It is safe for women to travel alone in Ethiopia. Compared to the other African countries, Ethiopia is more peaceful. Like anywhere, there are places that women travelers would want to avoid, but the security risk in this country are lower than some of the bordering countries like Kenya and Sudan.

The correct answer to this question is Yes. It is safe for women to travel alone in Ethiopia.
The women traveler should ensure that they fit in with the culture of Ethiopia, which can lower their risk of being attacked. One of those things is to dress smart and not wear revealing clothes that will lead to unwanted attention.

Ethiopia is one of the best countries for solo women travelers because it is a peaceful country when compared with other African countries. Although, there are specific places in Ethiopia with high-security risks, especially its border Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, the overall security risk of Ethiopia is very low compared to other neighboring countries.

Solo women travelers are usually treated with respect in Ethiopia. However, this does not mean you should be living certain lifestyles that will make you vulnerable to those little crimes. The implication of this is that as a solo woman traveler, you have got to adopt certain measures that will guarantee your safety.

Don't wear revealing clothes so you won't increase your risk of getting raped or harassed sexually. Dress very smart and not flashy when going so won't draw unnecessary attention that might put you into serious danger. Also, getting a trustworthy person as a friend will make everything easy for you..
