The childhood stage of an individual can be divided into three i.e., the early childhood stage, the middle childhood stage, and the adolescence or the late childhood stage. As a child undergoes all three stages of development during the childhood period, there are certain characteristics that differentiate the early stage from the middle and the late childhood stages. At the early childhood stage, a child will be experiencing physical development, language development.
After some time, the child will start improving his or her speech. Other things that are common to the early childhood stage are social development, emotional development. At the middle stage, a child begins to experience a tremendous improvement of all the things he has learned during the early childhood stage. At the late childhood stage, which usually falls between the periods of 13 to 18, a child will start noticing certain sexual characteristics in his or her body.
