Childhood is the time from birth to adulthood, which is normally 18 years old. It is the stages of development when a child grows into the adult they are. There are three stages to childhood. The first is the early stage. This stage runs from birth to eight years old.

Out of all three stages, this is the most important because this is when the child develops social, cognitive, and emotional skills. The next stage is the middle childhood age, which runs between six to twelve years old. During this stage, a child will begin to form social relationships. The last stage is the late childhood stage, which is 13 to 18 years old, which is when the child grows into their physical form and learns about their sexuality.

There are many interpretations that can be given to the term childhood. The most common way of explaining it is a period, time, or state of being called a child. In other words, the term childhood is mostly used to describe the early stage of an individual starting from the time of birth to when such individuals clock 18. A period after this time is called adulthood, and it is another developmental stage of humans.

The childhood stage can be grouped into three; the early stage, middle childhood, and adolescence. All these stages are very important in order for a child to experience healthy growth and development. The period between the time of birth to about eight years is referred to as the early childhood stage, and the period between eight to twelve years is when a child will pass through his or her middle childhood stage, while the period between 13 to 18 is usually referred to as the adolescence period; this is when a child becomes a teenager.
