A cake is equivalent to sweet baked bread. It is baked like bread, and it rises in the oven. There are a plethora of flavors of cake that is based on the classic sponge recipe. Vanilla, chocolate, and lemon cakes all come out of the oven, waiting to be decorated. Cake icing and the frosting is also a popular feature, such as the buttercream concoction.

Cakes are appropriate for tributes and celebrations, such as birthdays, weddings, and baby showers. Pie can be sweet or savory, as it is made of pastry, Pies employ all different kinds of pastry, but they generally need flour, butter, and water to make the simplistic dough. The crust of the pie covers the fillings. The baked part of the pie is sweet and crisp. Pies may be baked independently and held in hand, or in a single pie dish ready to be eaten. The cost of cakes depends on the ingredients utilized. Pie filling can be more expensive, but the crust is cheap.
