A Manager is an employee who is high up on the hierarchy scale. A manager receives a salary for the work he or she performs. An entrepreneur is a person who seizes the opportunity to create an invention, firm, or project. As opposed to a fixed salary, an entrepreneur receives a profit as his or her form of payment. Being a manager can sometimes require a college education.

Still, most times, managers are chosen based on the years of experience within the company, or they are hired from outside the company with years of experience in the same field. An entrepreneur obtains his or her resources through financial institutions or start-up promotion.

He organizes, oversees, and develops their resources. Another difference is that a manager uses the available resources within the company to administrate the business. However, since the entrepreneur is the owner of the project, it is solely up to him to procure the necessary funds.
