Without adequate protection, both Siberian and Bengal tigers are believed to become extinct. Currently, however, there are efforts to protect them. The Siberian tiger is the largest tiger subspecies and can be found only in the protected region of Amuri Ussuri, Krai and Khabarovsk Krai in eastern Siberia. The Bengal tiger is indigenous to India and Bangladesh, and they are the most prominent subspecies in these areas.

Bengal tigers are best known for their signature brown spots on their soft orangey golden fur. There are subspecies of the Bengal tiger, such as the white Bengal and the black tiger. Siberian tigers, on the other hand, possess very heavy coats of soft pale orange, which is offset by their famous dark stripes. Their coat keeps them warm in cold temperatures.
