Snapchat and Instagram are the two most popular social media platforms, where you can easily share pictures and videos with other people from different parts of the world. While both image- sharing apps strive to serve the same function, there are certain differences between the two.
Although both apps are photo/video sharing platforms, Instagram is more of an image-sharing platform than any other things you can use it for i.e.; it is basically meant to be used to capture and share images for other people to see. Snapchat also has this function, but part of its primary functions is that you can also chat with people over snaps.
On Snapchat, any image you share can only stay on that platform for a limited period of time before it disappears, whereas Instagram allows you to store your images on it for a very long time. While you can easily view stories of other people you are following on Instagram, Snapchat gives you the chance to decide on those that will be viewing your stories.
