Amnesia is known to be a condition wherein people usually forget some details about their lives. This may be caused by a medical condition, or it may also be because of trauma or an accident. Even those who are young may sometimes get amnesia. Amnesia is sometimes temporary, and something will make the person recall what he/she has already forgotten.

Dementia is a medical condition that usually affects older people. It makes older people lose their memory, and they cannot remember some of the basic details about their lives anymore. Some say that those who get dementia are already in their golden years. Take note that amnesia may sometimes occur because of too much emotional trauma.
