What is the difference between GSD and Alsatian?

German Shepherd is a type of dog that comes from Germany. The names of the dogs come from where they have originated. Most people say that they are the same dog breed. The name just changed because of where they were found. The Americans have decided to keep the name “German Shepherd” for this particular dog breed and this is still widely used in different countries too. History may have changed the name of this dog breed but the two terms are referring to the same dog.
